Mark Agostino 30th Lorne Cancer Conference 2018

Mark Agostino

Dr Mark Agostino completed his PhD in 2011 at the Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences. His work focused on the development of novel computational methods for understanding carbohydrate recognition by antibodies, particularly focused on carbohydrates involved in pig-to-human xenograft rejection. His research interests are largely in structural immunology and structural glycobiology, as well as computer-aided drug and vaccine design, with a great interest in the design of therapeutic peptides. Through the support of an NHMRC CJ Martin Early Career Fellowship, he is currently based at the Barcelona Supercomputer Center, where he is working on computational approaches to investigating protein-protein interactions of relevance to the immune response to infectious diseases.
