Gwo Yaw Ho

Dr Gwo Yaw Ho is an honorary medical oncology fellow at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and The Royal Women’s Hospital, Melbourne. He is currently undertaking his PhD studies in ovarian cancer research at Walter & Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research, Melbourne in A/Professor Clare Scott’s laboratory. His areas of research interest include exploring novel therapeutics for high-grade ovarian cancer, investigating biomarkers to predict tumour response to treatment and also understanding early genetic events leading to cancer development. He is involved in developing patient derived xenograft models as pre-clinical avatar models and generating genetically engineered mouse models to study crucial genetic aberrations leading to the C5/proliferative subtype of high-grade serous ovarian cancer.
